A hater is someone who is jealous and envious and spends all their
time trying to make you look small so they can look tall.
They are very negative people to say the least. Nothing is ever
good enough!

When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters...

That's why you have to be careful with whom you share your
blessings and your dreams, because some folk can't handle seeing
you blessed...

It's dangerous to be like somebody else... If God wanted you to be
like somebody else, He would have given you what He gave them! Right?

You never know what people have gone through to get what they
have...

The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they
don't know my story...

If the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence, you
can rest assured that the water bill is higher there too!

We've all got some haters among us!

Some people envy you because you can:
a) Have a relationship with God
b) Light up a room when you walk in
c) Start your own business
d) Tell a man/woman to hit the curb (if he/she isn't about the right thing)
e) Raise your children without both parents being in the home

Haters can't stand to see you happy.
Haters will never want to see you succeed.
Most of our haters are people who are supposed to be on our side.

How do you handle your undercover haters?
You can handle these haters by:

1. Knowing who you are & who your true friends are
*(VERY IMPORTANT!!)

2. Having a purpose to your life: Purpose does not
mean having a job. You can have a job and still be
unfulfilled.

A purpose is having a clear sense of what God has called you to be.
Your purpose is not defined by what others think about you.

3. By remembering what you have is by divine
prerogative and not human manipulation.

Fulfill your dreams! You only have one life to live...when its your
time to leave this earth, you want to be able to say, 'I've lived my
life and fulfilled my dreams, Now I'm ready to go HOME!

When God gives you favour, you can tell your haters, 'Don't look at
me...Look at who is in charge of me...'

Read this and share with all of your family & friends who you know are
not hating on you.Just pray for them haters,so that their life can be as fulfilled as
yours! Watch out for Haters...BUT most of all don't become
a HATER!

Hali kadhalika wanawake waliotaka kuongeza kidogo ndombolo/makalio waliharibikiwa na shepu na mpango mzima makalioni kwani panaweza ongezeka ambapo hapatakiwi hivo kuharibu mpango mzima wa eneo hilo.Tuwe makini na hizo dawa vinginevyo ukiwa kama hawa usimlaumu mtu kwani ni uamuzi wako kumkosoa muumba!

Ule msemo wa kazi ni kazi na riziki ni popote ili mradi mkono uende kinywani unaji dhihirisha katika picha hii. Mimi nilidhani haya mambo ni ya ngozi nyeusi tu! kumbe hata weupe wamo!! sasa tuache ubitozi tufanye kazi!!!! Ulaya kila kitu pesa ati!

Mtu anaweza cheka hili jambo ila ni aibu kuna watu unakuta ashakua mtu mzima hajui hata kuosha sahani ama kijiko.Zamani kuna baadhi ya shule walikua wanafundisha cookery course ambayo sijawahi ona mtoto wa kiume anasoma (Late 90s pale Njombe secondari maarufu kama NJOSS) Ila sina shaka na wale ambao wameishi ulaya maana ifikapo muda wa kurudi makwao wanakua wanakaribia kua ma-chef kabisa maana huku lazima ujue kupika ama sivyo utaishia kula burger na junk food ukaharishe vizuri nyumbani kwako hahahhahha.... Well, nilichotaka kusema hapa ni kua makini na mtoto anayekusaidia na kile anacho kusaidia vinginevyo haitakua kusaidia bali uharibifu wa vitu vyako kama ionekanavyo kwa hio picha. yaani sina mbavu na hio picha naona mama mtoto ashituka na kushindwa kushangaa....

And it doesn't mean that they are a bad person it just means that their part in the story is over. And you've got to know when people's part in your story is over so that you don't keep trying to raise the dead.. You've got to know when it's dead.

You've got to know when it's over. Let me tell you something.. I've got the gift of good-bye. It's the tenth spiritual gift, I believe in good-bye.. It's not that I'm hateful, it's that I'm faithful, and I know whatever God means for me to have He'll give it to me. And if it takes too much sweat I don't need it. Stop begging people to stay.

The reasons why students fail.

Being student is a milestone and nice stage in life regardless of the Level,Type of School/College/University etc, Field, Geographical location and others. Student life is both enjoyable and miserable at some point. Its enjoyable when you get and or achieve what was required of you at least in smooth and supporting environement. Above all the achievement embraced here have to be lucrative. Apparently, students life could be miserable when the learning environment does not support students in the process. Many developing countries including Tanzania experience this situation due to different reasons.For example budget deficits, misallocation of resources,lack of priorities and many others. Despite this fact it's of course debatable on the causes of student failures based on the learning environment and the students themselves. As such, they have been pointed to be the cause of failure not because they are not brilliant or serious but because of the following:

[1]:CARELESSNESS:Some Student are careless even in the exam hall.just because they want to be noticed,they will quickly rush through the question and submit their script forgetting to write their names,going astray thereby failling

[2]:OVERCONFIDENCE:Some students so much beliefs they know it all thereby relenting or abandon studying hard.This can also lead them into failures.(In this instance even class dodgers believe in a miracle of doing better during examinations)

[3]:INDISCIPLINE:Some student have a good reading time table,but do not make use of it,due to lack of self DISCIPLINE and taking things for granted

[4]:RESTLESSNESS:It is dangerous for a student who want to excel in his or her discipline to be restless,because it will weaken you,and you won't be able to read.Even if you try,you will definitely sleep off,or find it difficult to assimilate.Experiencing pre-occupied mind etc

[5]:PROCRASTINATION:Many people fall into this category.The reading,assignment or research they ought to do instantly is been prosponed or delayed,threfore leading to their failure.

[6] POOR TIME MANAGEMENT:some students have a careless mind when comes to time management. Student life requires proper use of time to meet course and or subject requirements

[7] LACK OF TIME TABLES: Some Students do not bother making their own self timetbles to revise or self study after classes.Lacking timetables foster failure in balancing time to read every subject, instead one can find himself/herself reading one subject everyday!!

[8] DIVERTED INTERESTS:Due to Teaching that fails to engage the students who finally will like watching movies,game station, chatting, reading story books rather than those recommended for the subject or modules resulting to poor time management.Also they hate the school or the building because for them it is boring

[9] LACK OF MOTIVATION on the student's or teacher's part, no parental involvement or encouragement, unassessed/untreated learning disabilities(poor support). It could even be drug or alcohol problems or illness .. so many factors really.

[10] LACK OF PUNCTUALITY:

The value of time

Time is part of the measuring system used to sequence events, to compare the durations of events and the intervals between them, and to quantify the motions of objects. With time there has been development of some cute sayings about time with different meanings conceptualized within a specified context. As such, I will not give any meaning to any of the sayings as used to avoid confusions based on the origin of the ‘’concept’’ and ‘’context’’ in which they are used. For instance ‘No hurry in Africa’ ‘Time is money’ ‘Time is making ability’ (Some say: time is makangability!!! Back in school, remember them days hehhehe!!)

While making sense of TIME, take an example of a bank account that credits your account each morning with thousands of pounds/shillings/Euro or any other currency. Bear in mind that it carries over no balance from day to day. Every evening the bank deletes whatever balance in part or wholly that you failed to use during the day. What would you do? Hehe! The answer is obvious ‘Draw out every cent, of course!. In this context everyone of us have such a bank account goes by the name ‘TIME’

Every morning, it credits you with thousands of seconds. In the evening it writes off as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to a good purpose. And no chance is given to explain why you did not do something on time as planned/scheduled. Above all, it carries over no balance. It allows no over draft. The next day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns any remains of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. You can’t reserve for tomorrow or later times for there is no drawing against "tomorrow." For that case you must live in the present on today's deposits only. It’s non-negotiable. Invest it so as to get from it success, happiness and timely achievement!

In this case ‘Remember the past, plan for the future, but live for today, because yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come. In essence the main idea here is all about ‘TIME MANAGEMENT’.

In my experience, back in Tanzania I witnessed some mismanagement of time in one way or the other. For instance if time for an appointment is 2pm, it’s possible to make it at 3pm or later than that. A friend can even wait for 2hrs for an appointment. Things are different in the developed world i.e UK; no one reserves time for you, once you’re late your chances varnish accordingly. The only remedies probably start a fresh booking appointment. Example I happened to miss at least 7 or more important appointments in the difference of 2 to 3 minutes late in different offices.

I therefore learnt to be on time though it’s hard to cope especially when you’re not used to. Here time is everything; time is what decides what, where and when to do something. For example even decision making must be timely, likewise news from any media must be timely to make sense in aspects of communications and many others. Since at least everything is time manned, we really need to budget time to smoothly accomplish our day to day commitments as well as goals. It is my hope those in the UK and other places where time management is higly considered will strongly support what I’ve said, while those planning to come (UK) welcome but ‘MIND TIME’ otherwise you will suffocate. That’s all I’ve for today! Enjoy..

It is just a comedy but to a great extent it reflects what people need to do or avoid which is good in our daily lives. New Tougher UK Student Visa Requirements

Home Secretary Alan Johnson has announced changes to student visas that will mean that students will need to have better English; Also, those on shorter courses will only be allowed to work a smaller number of hours in the UK. It is interesting to note that only a week ago UKBA announced a temporary ban on student visa applications from Northern India, Bangladesh and Nepal.

The new requirements since 7 February 2009 are as follows:

•If you are from outside the EU you will need to speak English to a level just below GCSE standard, instead of beginner level English at present

•If you are a student taking a course below degree level you will only be allowed to work for 10 hours a week, instead of the 20 hours presently allowed

•If you are on a short course of under six months you will not be allowed to bring dependants into the UK.

•If you are on a course below degree level your dependants will not be allowed to work

•Visas for courses below degree level with a work placement will only be granted if the institution that you attend is on a new register, the Highly Trusted Sponsors List.

The Home Secretary said that 30% of migrants to the UK gain entry on a student visa. A number of these students take courses at a lower level than degree level. There were 240,000 student visas issued by the UK in 2008/09. A review of the system had been ordered in November 2009. This is despite the fact that the new Tier 4 student visa points based system was only introduced last year.

The UK Government has stated that tougher rules have been brought in to stop people abusing the student visa system to remain illegally in the UK. It should be noted that the UK has benefitted enormously from overseas students. Overseas students provide a substantial income to colleges and Universities. Especially during times of economic growth students and their dependents provide a useful source of new employees.
where as the opposition party the Conservatives had said that the student visa system had been the "biggest hole in border controls".
The Home Secretary had the following to say on the BBC's Andrew Marr Show:

"By 2011, we will have the most sophisticated system in the world to check people not just coming into the country but to check they have left as well," he said.
He said the UK remains open to those foreign students who want to come to the UK for legitimate study.
"If you are coming here for a course that is under six months you cannot bring your dependents"
"We are the second most popular location for people going into higher education," he said.
"We have to be careful that we are not damaging a major part of the UK economy, between £5bn and £8bn."
On the other hand, Immigration Minister Phil Woolas on the BBC's Politics Show said that 200 bogus colleges had been closed. He had the following to say:
"Students have foreign national identity cards. We have the e-Border counting in and counting out."
"The latest proposals are a response to the moves by people who are trying to get round the system."

immigration minister, Phil Woolas comments over the increase in immigration and nationality fees, likely to be introduced in April 2010

It is interesting to note that for some dependent relative applications the fee has doubled or tripled in price. The Government feels that higher fees are justified to pay for the higher social and health care costs to look after elderly relatives. An application for entry on a settlement visa for a dependent relative will go up from 585£  to 1680£. While an application for a dependent relative visa made from inside the UK will go up from 820£ to 1680£.

Studying in the UK

Things to consider when planning to study abroad, UK in particular. Prepare the following:-


1. Academic Certificates of previous attended Schools, Colleges/Universities
2. Your own bank account (The new visa application system requires applicants personal Bank statement) or sponsor bank statement attached with a letter of commitment to pay for the applicant.
3. English proficiency Certificate  IELTS( Availability:British Council-Dar es salaam)
4. Your passport (Proof of Nationality and D.O.B)
5. Enough funds, life in the UK has changed tremendously it is very hard to attend a full time course in an accredited University while working to pay fees, at least the ability to pay fees have to be guaranteed. (I’ve seen several friends failing to graduate even in cheap colleges, why? Fees problem! In this case it’s even worse when thinking of studying at the University without any back up from home)

Visa information for Tanzanian students
All Tanzanian nationals who wish to study in the UK will need to apply for a student visa before they are eligible to enter the UK and begin their programme of study.

Unconditional letter
The university you’ve applied will send you unconditional letter prior to the 1st one which is normally conditional. Once you have accepted your offer of a study place and met the conditions been asked including paying fees of not less than 66% of the total fees per course, they will send you an unconditional letter which confirms your study place at the University you’ve applied. You will need this document to apply for your study visa to come to the UK. NB. No student visa will be processed without offer letter.

Immigration requirements
The British High Commission Dar Es Salaam, website has a full list of the immigration requirements to be met by Tanzanian nationals who wish to study in the UK. All UK visa applications at Dar es Salaam, must be done by submitting an online application. Here you can apply for a UK visa and book your appointment to submit your visa application over a secure internet connection.

NB: Please make sure that:
 You have answered clearly all of the required questions on the form(s)
 Signed and dated the form(s) where asked
 Any supporting documents you provide are originals or attested copies plus one photocopy of each original document submitted
 You make your application at least six weeks before you intend to travel and not more than 3 months before your travel date
 You fill out separate application forms for each person travelling, including children travelling on parents' passport

TB requirement

You will need to obtain an IOM Medical Certificate confirming that you are free from infectious tuberculosis (TB) if you are aged 11 years and over and applying for visa to go to the United Kingdom for a period longer than six months. Only diplomatic passport holders will be exempted. To arrange your medical examination, please contact the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Dar es Salaam.
Note: Without this certificate, refusal is the obvious result! ‘’Mind your vijicent’’ coz it’s Non-refundable!

Collection of visa decisions
When you lodge your application, you will be given be a date on which your decision should be available and we will contact you if this changes. You can collect your decision Monday to Thursday 14.00– 15.00.
Note: a) No visa collection on Fridays!!

          b) The British High Commission will no longer have any ability to arrange visas at short notice.

Nadja Benaissa, 27, had sex on five occasions between 2000 and 2004 with three people and did not tell them she was infected, even though she had known since 1999, according to the charge sheet.
"She was well aware that any unprotected sexual contact can lead to the virus being passed on," prosecutors in the town of Darmstadt near Frankfurt said.**
One of the three had since been confirmed as being infected with the HIV virus, which causes AIDS, prosecutors added.

According to a new study, it is officially the worst place in the UK for card fraud.

The annual Card Fraud Index from CPP found card crime in the Welsh capital had jumped by 17% in the past two years. A staggering 37% of people in Cardiff have fallen victim to card crime in the past.

Funding: University of Ohio presents Opportunities for Graduate Study: Local Knowledge and Climate Change Adaptation in Tanzania

Two two-year research assistantships at the M.A. level are available through a new project on local knowledge and climate change adaptation in Tanzania supported by the National Science Foundation’s Geography and Spatial Science (GSS) Program. The project -Linking Local Knowledge and Local Institutions for the Study of Adaptive Capacity to Climate Change: Participatory GIS in Northern Tanzania – investigates the myriad ways in which human, social, and institutional capital enable households and communities to draw on local knowledge and outside specialist knowledge to moderate the negative effects of greater climatic instability on rural livelihoods.

In addition to completing required courses for the MA program over two academic years (2010-2011 and 2011-2012), the successful candidates will contribute to an international interdisciplinary research project. We expect applicants to develop a thesis project that contributes to the project’s research objectives.

One graduate research assistant will work on the development of online multimedia applications derived from a participatory GIS. Background or interest in cartography and web-based mapping is desirable.

A second research assistant will work with the research team on the implementation of the project’s participatory field methodology and contribute to data analysis. The student’s interests should be focused on environment-development interactions (e.g., the dynamics of resource access, political, environmental or cultural-linguistic dimensions of local knowledge systems, gendered aspects of climate change adaptation). Proficiency in Kiswahili or interest in learning Kiswahili at Ohio University is a plus.

The assistantships include two academic years of tuition waiver and stipend for students enrolled in the Geography M.A. program. Additional support is available for student field research activities in Tanzania.
