This made a headline on various media after many of its users in Europe, the Middle East and Africa lost services on Monday. The BB users suffered problems with email, BBM and internet that were reported by customers later that day.Canadian firm Research in Motion (RIM) has apologised for the inconvenience and says that all services have now been restored.
Apparently there's no official word yet from RIM on what caused the problem but it's reported to be linked to a crashed server at a BlackBerry data centre. This indeed will be another huge blow to the company and its reputation apart from the weaker sales in the face of strong competition from Android handsets and Apple's iPhone.
